Thoughts and Mace Advisory with support from Ford Foundation organized a series of discussions and learning sessions with directors of civil society groups in Abuja and Lagos on influencing change in Nigeria. The objective of this convening was to assist partners in brainstorming and considering ways to impact change in Nigeria to enable them to improve their projects with the strategies discussed.

The discussion compared case studies from the M23 in Senegal, the citizens’ revolution in Burkina Faso, the #endsars movement in Nigeria and the response to Abuja raids against women in 2019.

This very important conversation critically examined changes, reviewed successful movements in Africa and drew conclusions from the experiences that could be used to address Nigeria’s challenges.
