Nkemdillim Ilo is the Chief Executive Officer of the Public and Private Development Centre (PPDC). PPDC is a civil society organization focused on improving transparency, accountability and integrity in public and private processes through informed public participation. With a background in law, Nkemdilim ILO leads PPDC’s work on improving public procurement processes and outcomes in Nigeria. Through her organization, she has and continues to advocate for transparency and accountability in how public service delivery is contracted. Her organization was responsible for the adoption and implementation of Open Contracting Data Standards (OCDS) in Nigeria and has provided continuous support to Federal, State and regional governments within and outside Nigeria. Working with a team of people, she has also advanced the development of access to information compliance and implementation in Nigeria Nkemdilim holds a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Birmingham, UK and an LL.B in Law, from the University of Benin, Nigeria. She holds a certification from the Behavioral Insights for Public Policy Program of the Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School Of Government, Executive Education. She has also been recognized as one of 50 Inspiring Women in Commerce and Contracting 2021 by World Commerce and Contracting.
